Pride in Bournemouth

Caron’s ambition to enliven Bournemouth’s creative industries saw her become Project Manager of the town’s most iconic public art event, Pride in Bournemouth. Caron led the year long project from the outset, which culminated in a 12-week outdoor public art installation with over 50 individually artworked lions placed in the parks, gardens and streets of Bournemouth. Not only did she enlist sponsorship from local businesses, but also delivered an education programme to Bournemouth’s schools and worked with local artists and charities to showcase not only Bournemouth’s creativity but also its heritage, architecture and regeneration. True to Caron’s reputation for making an impact, the event culminated in a spectacular star-studded charity auction, which raised over £73,000 for Julia’s House and the Born Free Foundation.
