Collaborating with her creative team, Caron developed the identity ‘By the Sea’ for Recreate Bournemouth – an EU backed social regeneration project which harnesses the potential of the creative industries to stimulate job creation, economic growth and social regeneration. As a unique initiative, the local authority needed a strong identity that would reflect the project’s offering and specifically reach a wider audience of creatives who may consider Bournemouth as a place to live and work. Based on Caron’s research and by focusing on the area’s USP (the seaside), the project was named ‘By the Sea’ – a flexible umbrella brand that works for all elements of the initiative. Caron continues to work closely with By the Sea’s Project Manager to guide and advise on the development of one of the initiative’s major regeneration projects, The Old School House By the Sea.
